The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
