And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, and he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)? 23 But the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he seeks to make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing among our fathers of old. 24 He is only a man in whom is madness wherefore await for him for a season. 25 "O my Lord," prayed (Noah), "help me against them, for they accuse me of lies." 26 So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned. 27 And when you are firmly seated, you and those with you, in the ark, say: All praise is due to Allah who delivered us from the unjust people: 28 And say: O my Lord! cause me to disembark a blessed alighting, and Thou art the best to cause to alight. 29 Surely, in that are signs, and surely We will put (nations) to the test. 30 We brought another generation into existence after the people of Noah. 31 So We sent among them a Noble Messenger from among them (saying), “Worship Allah, you do not have any other God except Him; so do you not fear?” 32
