The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
