Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 abounding in branches -- 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 (The dwellers of Paradise) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade and it will be easy to reach the ripe fruits from the two gardens. 54 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 55 Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. 56 jinn and mankindîwhich of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 57 As if they were rubies and coral. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,- 62 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 With two fountains gushing constantly, -- 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 [There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions. 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blessed be the Name of thy Lord, majestic, splendid. 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
