Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
