Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 raised couches, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
