We did indeed send Noah to his people and he lived among them a thousand years save fifty. Eventually the Flood overtook them while they were engaged in wrongdoing. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 Tell of Abraham. He said to his people, "Worship God and fear Him, that would be best for you, if only you knew. 16 You only worship, other than Allah, idols and invent falsehoods. Those whom you worship, other than Allah, have no power to give you provision. Therefore seek the provision of Allah, and worship Him. Give thanks to Him, to Him you shall return' 17 "And if you deny, then nations before you have denied (their Messengers). And the duty of the Messenger is only to convey (the Message) plainly." 18 See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for Allah. 19 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated creation, and then Allah will bring forth (resurrect) the creation of the Hereafter (i.e. resurrection after death). Verily, Allah is Able to do all things." 20 He punishes whom He will and shows mercy to whom He pleases. And to Him you shall be returned. 21 You are not able to frustrate Him either in the earth or in heaven; and you have not, apart from God, either protector or helper. 22
