▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
