Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
