The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
