Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Harun, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
