Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
