The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
