Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a lofty garden, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 and raised couches, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
