Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
