Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 that hide, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
