VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 They will not be affected by any weariness there, and they will never be made to leave." 48 ۞ (Muhammad), tell My servants that I am All-forgiving and All-merciful 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 They said, "Do not be afraid. We come to you with good news. You shall have a son who shall be endowed with great knowledge." 53 He said, “Do you convey to me the glad tidings upon old age reaching me? So upon what do you convey glad tidings?” (* Prophet Ibrahim said this out of surprise.) 54 They said, “We have given you true tidings, therefore do not lose hope.” 55 He said, "Who but the misguided despair of the mercy of their Lord?" 56 Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 "(All) except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction). 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
