And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
