28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Say, "It has been revealed to me that a band of the jinn listened [to the Quran] and they said, "We have heard a really wonderful recital, 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) - 7 and that “we tried to pry (the secrets of) the heaven, but we found it full of terrible guards and shooting meteors”; 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path. 10 Just as [we do not know how it happens] that some from among us are righteous, while some of us are [far] below that: we have always followed widely divergent paths. 11 ‘And we are certain that we cannot defeat Allah in the earth, nor can we run out of His grasp.’ 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression. 13 "'Yet [it is true] that among us are such as have surrendered themselves to God - just as there are among us such as have abandoned themselves to wrongdoing. Now as for those who surrender themselves to Him - it is they that have attained to consciousness of what is right; 14 And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell. 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass." 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
