Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
