Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the (particular) dawn. 1 And ten nights, 2 by the even and the odd, 3 And by the Night when it passeth away;- 4 There surely is an oath for thinking man. 5 Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) A'ad, 6 Who were very tall like lofty pillars, 7 whose like has never been created in any other land. 8 and with the Thamud, who cut out [huge] rocks in the valley, 9 And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes 10 All of them committed excesses in their lands, 11 And increased therein the corruption. 12 Therefore thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment. 13 Most surely your Lord is watching. 14 As for the human being, when his Lord tests him, honors him, and grants him bounty, he says, "God has honored me". 15 But when He tries him, by straitening his means of life, he says: "My Lord has humiliated me!" 16 No! But you do not honor the orphan 17 And urge not on the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor)! 18 And you devour (others') inheritance greedily, 19 and you ardently love wealth. 20 Surely when We pound the earth to powder grounded, pounded to dust, 21 And when the command of your Lord comes and the angels row by row, 22 and when Hell is brought near that Day. On that Day will man understand, but of what avail will that understanding be? 23 He shall say, 'O would that I had forwarded for my life!' 24 None can punish as He will punish on that day, 25 nor will any bind as He binds. 26 (It will be said to the pious): "O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! 27 return unto thy Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing! 28 Enter thou among My righteous bondmen! 29 Enter thou My Paradise!' 30
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
