Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
