The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
