Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
