Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen, 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters, 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
