Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
