Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
