۞ And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
