The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 Do people think that once they say, "We believe," they will be left alone and not be put to the test? 2 We tried those who have gone before them. Allah knows those who are truthful and those who lie. 3 Do the evil-doers suppose that they will get the better of Us? How evil is their judgement! 4 Let those who have the desire to be in the presence of God on the Day of Judgment know that their day will certainly be coming. God is All-Hearing and All-Knowing. 5 He who strives, strives for himself. Allah is the Rich, independent of the worlds. 6 Those who believe and do good deeds, We shall cleanse them of their evil deeds and reward them according to the best of their deeds. 7 We have charged the human to be kind to his parents. But if they bid you to associate with Me that which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me you will return, and I shall inform you of all that you have done. 8 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds – We shall indeed include them among the virtuous. 9 Of mankind are some who say: we believe in Allah; then if they are afflicted in the way of Allah, they take the persecution of men even as the torment of Allah; and then, if succour cometh from thy Lord they say: verily we have been with you. Is not Allah the Best Knower of that which is in the breasts of the creatures? 10 And most certainly Allah will know those who believe and most certainly He will know the hypocrites. 11 The unbelievers say to the believers. "Follow our way. We shall take the responsibility for your sins." They cannot take responsibility for any of the sins. They are only liars. 12 And they will surely bear their own burdens and some other burdens along with their own; and they will undoubtedly be questioned on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they had fabricated. 13

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
