In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
