No! By the moon 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
