The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And denied the best matter, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
