The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And spreading shade, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
