▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
