The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 and hastily turned away, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
