Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
