Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
