Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
