Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
