We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 Except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame. 18 As for the earth, We have stretched it out and have cast on it firm mountains, and have caused to grow in it everything well-measured. 19 and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. 23 We know those who lived before you and those who will come after you. 24 And verily thy Lord! He will gather them, and verily He is Wise, Knowing. 25
