Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
