The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
