Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
