Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
