The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
