Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
