Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
