And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
