S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 It seems strange to the pagans that a man from their own people should come to them as a Prophet. The unbelievers have said, "He is only a lying magician". 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We never heard of this in the former religion. It is nothing but an invention. 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified. 14
