And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 about what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
